merry, merry…
December 2012
As the year comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on the accomplishments of 2012 and plan new goals for 2013, and I have to say, one of the highlights for me has been the creation of this blog back in the Spring. I find it hard to believe that I’ve actually sat still 36 times to compile some of my favourite images and post them with the associated stories! This has not only brought a personal sense of satisfaction, but has been a great motivator in terms of trying new things with my photography and also keeping family and friends, some of who live many thousands of miles away, connected with our day-to-day goings on in Vancouver, and the occasional adventure too!
I’ve had lots of encouragement along the way, and I want to thank Sandra Verhoeff, owner of ‘Signet Studio – Graphic Design’, visit http://www.signetstudio.com/ for creating my wonderful logo, which I think really embodies my approach to photography i.e.; carry my camera, have fun with it and see what transpires. I likely would have not progressed so quickly to branding my blog with the use of a logo, had I not been accepted as a volunteer photographer with ‘The Tiny Light Foundation’, please visit http://www.thetinylight.com/, a charitable organization who are doing fabulous work, in providing free photo sessions for families with children who have faced life altering medical diagnoses. I’m really proud to be joining their team and look forward to working with them in the New Year.
Thanks to all who have taken the time to visit ‘Carry My Camera’ and have a safe and happy holiday season!
