heidi, dan and baby bump…
April 2012
You may have dropped by my post (rant) about the studio component of the photography class I took earlier this year, and if so, thanks so much for taking time out of your day to do that. I mentioned recently that like many photographers, both amateur and pro, my preference is to work with natural light. In contrast to that post, I wanted to document the very positive experience of taking some maternity shots of the glowing mum-to-be, Heidi, and her awesome husband Dan. Heidi and Dan were married about a year ago and didn’t have long to wait for the news of their new family addition. As a quick backgrounder, I met Heidi a few years ago through my husband Pete (they work together) and was thrilled when she and Dan agreed to model for me. Once again, my good friend Jacqui facilitated the shooting of my homework exercise in her very beautiful and spacious heritage home on Vancouver’s North Shore (thanks girlfriend!).
Since taking these shots a handsome and healthy young lad by the name of ‘Henry James’ has made an appearance, and I’m really looking forward to capturing some images of him for this special couple in the near future, so stay tuned!
Awesome piccies mate. Is there anything you can’t do?
